Sky Harvester

The Sky Harvester is a commercial rain water harvesting system that can be installed on your building.  The Sky Harvester can store anywhere from 3,000 to 1 million gallons of water at a time depending on the demand.  Through single source water harvesting, the manufactures say some systems will pay for themselves within 3 years.

The University of Wisconsin –Milwaukee Residence Hall did a case study on their Sky Harvester. A summary of their results concluded:
􀂾 This system collects 11,000 gal on a 1” rain event.

􀂾 1” of rain will provide 4 irrigation cycles or 1 standard week of irrigation.

􀂾 The tank will be filled completely on a 1.7” rain event.

􀂾 A full tank provides 20,000 gallons or 2 standard weeks of irrigation.

􀂾 The SkyHarvester system reduces potable water consumption for irrigation by at least 94%.
